What is my ISP throughput?

Throughput refers to the amount of data transferred over a period of time. For example a common throughput advertised by ISPs (internet service providers) is 1gbps - or 1 gigabit per second (equivalent to 1,000mbps).

This speed is the maximum throughput achievable by the ISP’s circuit. If you’d like to see how much throughput you are using - this is available on your Dashboard (dashboard.meter.com)

You can also expand or decrease the time window being viewed here by selecting a different time range from the drop-down on the top-right hand side of the page:

Why is seeing my ISP throughput important?

If the network is constantly reaching the maximum throughput offered by the ISP - you may be losing productivity simply because the throughput offered by the ISP is not high enough to accommodate every user and device on the network. 

In which case - getting a faster plan from the ISP would be worthwhile.
